new stez in CRV

Does anyone know what the go is in regards to this security wire in Honda stereos? Its a red/white wire and i read that once its disconnected from the original stereo the immobiliser wont work. what is the go?

I'm quite sure you can disconnect your stereo without any problem to the immobiliser

the security wire that connects to the stereo unit in our hondas are just for the bilnking warning LED, nothing more...
