1st time going track, license qns

    Hey all,

Im going to winton and i need a license, looks like i am going to ge the AASA one cos its cheaper and i wont be going to any other tracks for awhile.

My question is, do i need to join a car club in order to sign up for a AASA license? if so are they any clubs you guys recommend (cheap!). I know of honda club already thats like 50 bux a year + 25 joining fee. any others would be good

I joined the AASA when I attended a trackday organised by Tampered Motorsports (http://www.tamperedmotorsport.com/fo...wforum.php?f=3). Didn't need to join a car club.

My application was probably endorsed by Tampered Motorsports, so they played the "part" of the car club.

winton only requires you have valid drivers license..

and no you dun need to join any car clubs.
you only need to join car clubs ( CAMS Affilated ones) if you wish to race at sandown or phillip island.

the AASA license you just fill in the form on da day at the track and pay the 50 per year fee and then they mail it to you....

been to few exe track days

    great fun...
