    Civic 2007 model MY07 or 40?

    Hi all,

I recently bought a 2007 model Honda Civic. When I was getting insurance for it, there were 2 different series types:

    MY07
    40

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the 2? How can I check what mine is?

    Thanks.

    I can only partially help.

MY07 means that the Year of Manufacture is 07 (if you didn't know this already).

Not sure about the other option... but when I insured my 07 Civic I chose MY07.

    Thanks markCivicVti...

I didn't know MY stood for Manufacture Year...

I insured it under MY07 as well but I just noticed that when you open the bonnet, on the right hand side there is a small black plaque which has written on it "Honda Civic 4DR SED 40". I thought maybe the "40" on the end meant my Civic is a 40 series.

I doubt the insurance companies would really care about this kinda minute detail but better to be safe than sorry.
