Ambient footwell lighting kit for FN2R?

Hi guys, I'm wondering whether there are any cheaper alternatives to buying the ambient lighting kit from the dealer ($200+)? Has anyone enquired about possible prices for the kit alone without labour fee since it should be quite easy to install? Maybe we could organise a group buy or something? The ambient lighting does look quite tempting especially with the red floor carpets at night time Cheers.

with the existing wiring setup on this, you could just simply buy a small switch (which you can get from Dick Smith or Jaycar) and wire it up to the existing wiring, this will simply allow you to cut the power when you want to.
Simply switch on or off even if the main power is on!
