i work at a dealer and deal with jazz cvt problems every week.

the accord v6 trans can be a lil iffy too but generally the rest of the range is fine transmission wise

Panda: Actually the MDX is also under bad transmission as well... there were recalled been made in the States for tranny swap.
Perhaps its maybe there ain't too many MDx's running around.. but if you log on to www.acuramdx.org then you will be shocked!

i've never heard of a single mdx transmission fault in australia, i'm not saying it hasnt happened but it would be a once off sorta thing if it did.
there has only been one recall on the mdx in australia and that was because there was a fault with the malfunction indicator lamp not working correctly

Thank God for that . I might now consider a automatic one day in the near future.
CVT was crap, I took a drive for 5 mins and went back to the dealership for a manual

I wouldn't take the word of anyone that's driven a car for 5 minutes. Surely you're kidding.

Very true, the push for lesser emissions and better fuel economy has taken its toll. We'll see how it all goes

Doesn't really take that long to determine whether you like a cars transmission or not . And within that 5 mins I determine that CVT was not for me so I brought a manual instead.

And With All these CVT problems I hear, its just reassures me that I have made the right decision.

Its as good as those DSG that Volkswagon have and the new GTR new Evo X with the SST Transmission. Heard of many stories, its good when its in warranty but when out of it....watch out.
