    Run-In a brand new civic

Hi guys, just wondering how do you run in your new car? I've heard 2 opinions for that, 1)take it easy for the 1st 1000km, 2)Full on blast it. I'm not very familiar with engine parts, can anyone explain please~~

Full on rip it for 2 full tanks, than take it easy after that.

LOL.... I think the 'safe' option is to drive it carefully. There's a little section in your manual under 'getting started' or similar title about the run in. I tried to gently run her in.... but took a couple trips to 6.5k rpms on my way home after taking delivery of the car.

Whats really REALLY important is that you make sure you let the engine warm up COMPLETELY before you drive it like you stole it.
