Doesn't the FD have side airbags? That's gonna create major headaches with insurance and ECU faults. If you're gonna get these seats try to find a pair from an FN2R. They have side airbags fitted.

If you're car is involved in an accident and SRS have been removed your insurance is void, no ifs or buts.

sorry, forgot to add. i got a VTI model. it doesn't have side airbags . FN2R buckets are a rip off. $1700 US for each seat. and don't even bother getting it from honda.

Hey guys, I got a 2010 vti -le. So I have curtain airbags, does that count as side airbags? Or are side airbags those inside the seat? :S Sorry, I'm really newb, but I'm also looking at getting some bucket seats.

If I do have curtain/side airbags, does that mean I will never be able to fit aftermarket seats?

    Cheers

Yes your seats have airbags in them. Nothing is stopping you from getting aftermarket seats without airbags but they are 'illegal' by law, also you will have the airbag warning light constantly on. I think the FN2R seats have airbags in them, maybe you can check them out.
