    +1

    The US got an 'equivalent' Pre-Facelift Acura RSX Type S instead.
    Just like the AUDM DC5Rs, it also had the K20A2.
    It was different to AUDM DC5Rs in that it was without the Recaros, Bodykit (Wing, Skirts, Front/Rear Lip, and maybe some other things Ive missed).

    The Facelift RSX-S however is almost identical to our DC5S.
    Same engine (K20Z1), features etc etc.

    Acura is simply Honda's 'luxury' (as they put it themselves) division of Honda that targets North America (US and Canada).
    Like Lexus is to Toyota.

    Theres alot of crossover between Honda and Acura.
    Some models are exactly the same but just rebadged.
    Eg:
    RSX --> DC5 Integra
    Integra --> DC2/4
    TSX --> Accord Euro
    MDX --> MDX
    NSX --> NSX
    Legend --> Legend

    But because theyre a division that purely tries to target the US market, they have developed other vehicles that accommodate to this demand (e.g. vehicles that we don't have: RDX, TL, RL).

    Im pretty sure they were planning to launch Acura in Japan also.
    Not too sure how thats going now though.

    Also not too sure of the differences in build quality cause alot of it is manufactured in North America.

    It's the K20A* so everything will be interchangable.

    The RSX Base Model would be equivalent to our DC5 Base Model.
    The RSX Type S 02-04 would correspond to our DC5R.
    The RSX Type S 05-06 would correspond to our DC5S.
