    Question Headgasket tech

Installing a thinner headgasket will raise compression. But does the engine need to be tuned after that? or is it similar to installing I/H/E (in that its best to tune it - but you dont have to)?

What is the general consensus in adding a thinner headgasket to an internally stock engine?

I know that you can get the gasket for around $200-300, but does anyone know how much it would be to install?

I am reffering to my B16A with CAI and 2.25" cat-back.....but it is relevant to all engines...

aparently, using a thinner headgasket will affect the cam timing.

    Camshafts become retarded...
Adjustable timing pulleys sort this problem nicley...
For stock cams, simply fit the pulleys & use pins to align
For aftermarket cams, you'll need to set them per manufacturer's recomendations.
