Just in addition as i've been asked a few questions regarding the gapping of the plugs... you can only do this if you have aftermarket coils.

1.3mm max on oem if you wanna try it...

also reason i did this to my B16a is because the following setup yielded 4wkw on the same dyno for my SR20 totalling 98wkw (Intake,Header,Exhaust, 10.8:1 CR, 19* timing).

There are definite noticable gains but I'm not going to bother dyno-ing my setup as i don't have a stock baseline, i will just goto a dyno day and compare with others of similar setup....

    Coil: LX91
Fuel pressure increased to ~40-42psi from 38psi

Only reason i actually decreased fuel pressure on my B16a setup instead of increasing it is because the dodgy eBay spoon chip I installe made me rich all round... getting it fined tuned though through weekly observation and i'm pretty set between 34-36psi.

30-32psi was running me lean according to what my spark plugs looked like after some hard driving.. but 38-40psi was too rich also obvious from my plugs looks.

    how come?

i have no other way of getting my true increases coz i didn't do a baseline run.. this is what i deemed to be the best idea.

what i meant by similar setup is everything else minus the ignition stuff...

is there any other way apart from me pulling it all apart and putting back on and costing me $100 on dyno time for 2 seperate days?... thats just too much for me and it's summer

    Anymore updates on this dsp?

Have you been trying a few things?

Even though there's not a lot to gain from this in terms of power,it's certainly good to know what your car likes and therefore keep her running smooth.

I really enjoyed your input on this before.

perhaps even indexing plugs would be more relevant to unhitching detonation. But all in all , all the above is extremely minor in the scheme of tuning things

    True true,

I just re-installed the MSD ignition system and was wanting to give it every chance to have it performing at it's best.

i know of someone who had a shop do this to a 2ZZGE motor using those kits you can buy.. there were very minor power differences which the shop was puting down to dyno variation. apparently won't do much for modern high comp motors... but also apparently worked better with proven gains on the older v8's with the shitty combustion chambers.

pretty expensive kit for nothing more than very thin looking washers for spark plugs :/
