    ek4 endlinks on dc2r swaybar

    okay now i've got my stock ek4 rear swaybar and taken off the endlinks

    trying to match it up to the dc2r ends and its completely different!

    ek4 swaybar end;

    dc2r swaybar end;

    as far as i can see its not a bolt on affair anyone want to enlighten me on what i'm missing or doing wrong?

    ***** edit; info on how i've temporarily solved it *****
    [i]so i've found a way to make bushings out of vinyl tubing

    list of goods you'll need from bunnings;
    $3.20, 3/8" flat washers, pack of 18(found in the nuts and bolts section)
    $0.52, 8mm joiner clear vinyl tubing(found in the hoses section with all the irrigation stuff)
    $0.55, 10mm joiner clear vinyl tubing(as above)
    $0.66, 12 or 12.5mm joiner clear vinyl rubing(as above)

    now the idea is to build up layers of vinyl tubing to replicate the oem bush

    1. put one washer on the endlink before slipping on the tubing
    2. start with the 8mm piece, cut a piece about 15mm long and slip it over the thread
    3. cut a 15mm piece from the 10mm joiner and with the help of some sort of lube(i used rp7) push it over the 8mm piece already in place
    4. cut a 15mm piece from the 12/12.5mm joiner and again lube it up and push it over the last piece
    5. lube up the diy bush and the endlink hole and push the bushing through, might have to use a hammer to get it through
    6. once you get it through put a washer at the end and bolt it up tight, you can either reuse the old bolt or you can buy another one from bunnings (m10, 1.25mm)
    7. tighten it up as best you can and that should be it

    i'll post pics later, just a bit busy now

    what i did was push out the metal cylinder that goes thru the dc2r bush so that u can fit the ek4 endlink thread thru and jsut tighten the nut on the other side. or the proper way wud be to get somthing like the asr metal bushes

    those suckas

    yeah its probably near impossible to find them in australia though
    i've considered getting enough washers to replicate what asr have done though, will report back whether i can find any the right size

    unfortunately yonas has nothing for me
    headed down to bunnings and bought some washers, vinyl tubing and some rubber gromets
    i'll see if i can whip up something to replicate that asr insert

    well i've made a diy bushing that fits pretty well inside using vinyl tubing from bunnings(about $4 in total to make 2 bushings)
    i'd gamble that its much better than using the stuck dc2r bush and pushing the little metal cylinder and using the old bush

    if you're interested i can make a diy thread, i've only done one side so far so i can diy for the other side

    u can use the oringal bushes ... drill it out then place a big washer on each end to hold it together..

    I did that for about a year or so.. it was fine...

    i got a dc2r RSB to put on my teg, will it fit on teg endlinks bolton?

    i have the asr kit and its got some small cylindrical metal bits (two of them) that are abou 1cm long each. are these the bushings im supposed to use?
