With the injen, wouldnt it be pain in the ass to wash/clean the air filter? Does the bumper need to be off every time a clean is required?

You can just take the splash guard off to access your air filter

ive got injen, installation would definitely be harder (requires cutting splash guard, take out battery, take off bumper etc) than the gruppem and mugen.

looks wise it loses as well. big gap in the engine bay.

however out of the mods ive done to my car, that was by far my favourite. awesome sound, nice top end gain.

Yeh I just got one as well. Took me a little while to take bumper off. Installation was abit of a hassle for me but got it done eventually. It sounded awesome, got that deep throaty sound. Still enjoy the gain and sound of it.

It does get wet in winter but never had hydro locking problems. Yeh I guess filter change out will be time consuming in future but might give GruppM a try if price comes down later.

Injen bad for weight distribution! haha.
But yeh, i read everywhere about hydrolocking. Has anyone actually experienced it in normal city driving? I ask because my mates Euro has the fog light out to have direct air to the filter and he's never had such problems.

This is what keeps putting me off buying the INJEN, Very keen to buy atm as JDMyard have them for $500.

I have Had My Mugen Intake for close to a year & a half now and will still argue that its one of the best intakes for the DC5 that their is!
