No offence, i think it's because alot of the DC5R owners can afford to drop the price a bit. While the DC2R owners are trying to salvage every penny they can out of a sale.

    AGREEED....

YET AGAIN, ur suggesting that the dc2R is in BETTER condition...

As i said.. same condition.. stock from stock..

no way a dc2R will sell more than a dc5R..

    Just accept it..

    BTW.. i can also say..

the dc5r sold for 42k new.. and my mate sold his for 34k.. after 5-6 years of owning it..

You guys have been bashing the DC5R's resale values and the car overall... surely you can take a little hit.

We honestly believe the DC5R is still worth more than the DC2R, and it should be.

XPO2ED started the comparison with this post

And just as a theoretical, If DLO01, ever decided to sell his car, in stock form, I'm sure he could get it for 30K....

I know cos i would buy it for that much, its mint

I think Kiz_EG6 did by saying it was more "Raw".

A car is only worth as much as a person is willing to pay for it, and how much the owner is willing to sell it for. There are many people still paying 31k+ for a good condition DC5R. There are many DC2R's advertised for high prices but they don't necessarily sell for that price.

A DC2R isn't a classic, yet. So why are you guys acting like it is?

Fair enough, I would too. That car has less km's than mine as well. But I would also pay more for Jing's DC5R if he sold it before AND after he started going crasy with it as that thing was mint IMO.

It's not just a DC2R biased market, there are people who like the DC5R as much as you like yours

I bought the car 3 years ago with just a smidgen over 10k kms. And I sure did not pay $30k.

I will give you a call when and if I decide to sell.

But agree that a car is only as much as somone is prepared to pay. Its not a question of what car holds its value more or whats more popular or whats better. And who cares. Get what you can get.
