    8000k HID and Mr Plod.

    basics.
just after i got my prelude i put in projectors and 6000k HID.
but there is 1 cop in bendigo who gets a boner from defecting cars just to be a prick, so he defected me for my projectors, non adr compliant...fair enough, but that means that i am running my HID in normal headlights which isnt good for other cars. i have them angled down and havent been flashed or anything but not something i like.

2 weeks ago 1 of my headlights went out...turns out the ballast died.
so i ordered a new kit.

seeing as i already had 6000k globes on the old kit i decided to get 8000k globes with the new one just for the hell of it.
i am running the 6000k globes with the new ballasts cause i dont wanna attract more attention from the 1 cop here who is sexually attracted to my car.
but i am moving to melbourne in just over a month and a few weeks after i move i plan on putting the projectors back in and was thinking about putting the 8000k in with the projectors.
this cops here doesnt even look twice at the 6000k and infact when this one was going over it he once pointed to the ballasts and asked what they were, i just told him "they're ballasts for the headlights"...he just said "oh, ok"
but there are only 5 cars in bendigo, that i have seen, that have aftermarket HID kits.
in a big city it would be something they would look for more.

anyway...my question is...has anyone here been pulled over or defected for having 8000k HID?
i wanna run them cause i think they would look so sweeeeeeeeet in the projectors...but i dont wanna attract too much attention from mr plod.

i have my ballasts in a spot so they wont stand out...but if i cop wants to look for them they can see them.
dont want them to think i am trying to hide something...that would mean that i cant use the "didnt know they were illegal" excuse.

Check out the link below for a kit with slim ballasts. not sure if these are any good though....they seem to be really cheap for a hid kit.
