    Civic 1.8L FD1 Engine Code?

    Hi guys

    Do you know what the engine code for the 1.8L Vti FD1 is?

    Not anywhere near the car and need it for a parts order. Should be 5 characters, like the K20A3 etc etc.....

    R18a mate.

    R18a1 is 06
    R18a2 is 07
    08 is prolly R18a3... but doesn't matter... they are all exactly the same.

    From what I can tell, the FD1 (R18) is compatible with some parts designed for the FD4 as well. e.g. My Typhoon intake says "FD1 and FD4" on the box (hand written mind you) so I'd be curious to see what else works with the R16A (1.6L FD4).

    As to the technical differences between different R-series engines, refer to Wikipedia:

    2007- Honda Civic (Singapore Local Market FD4)
    Displacement: 1595 cc
    Compression: 10.5:1
    Bore & stroke: 81.0 x 77.4 mm

    Power: 138 bhp (140 PS, 103 kW) @ 6300 rpm
    Torque: 17.7 kgf·m (174 N·m, 128 lbf·ft) @ 4300 rpm

    R18A2
    Found in:
    2007- Honda Civic (EDM FN1, EDM FK2)
    Displacement: 1799 cc
    Compression: 10.5:1
    Bore & stroke: 81.0 x 87.3 mm
    Power: 138 bhp (140 PS, 103 kW) @ 6300 rpm
    Torque: 17.7 kgf·m (174 N·m, 128 lbf·ft) @ 4300 rpm
