Spare Tyre (06' VTI & Sport)

Wondering if the spare tyre from the VTI will fit fine on the Sport?

The steelie will be a different size to the sports alloys - hence wouldn't that make it a defect on public roads? If the overal diameter is the same then yes it would work.. but the width would be different and as I mentioned its a [POSSIBLE.. someone?] defect... NOT ADVISED.

(yes both are the same stud pattern if thats part of the question)

Already using my Sport's spare because the Mrs. ran over a screw.
Planning on a long trip tonight so was hoping to take another spare with me just in case something happens.

I eventually got the punctured tyre fixed today, thank god.
I initially went to Bob Jane a couple weeks ago, who said they couldn't do it because it was too close to the edge.

Went to another place and they did it with no questions/hesitation...
It's been fine all day so yea... hopefully it won't deflate when I'm on the freeway...

    Thanks for the responses guys.
