Is $2.4k insurance too much to be paying for a DC4?

i get quotes of $2.4-5k(ranging from justcar, nrma and aami) for my ek4 stock
21, nothing owing on the car, no traffic infringements, no accident history

thats why i got an ek1 instead of ek4, it costs me $1400 and im 19 with no bas history, but mind u its got my mums 60% no claim bonus. so itd normally be alot more. 2.5k

thats crazy!

i'm only paying $1200 a year with NRMA for my DC4 with 1500 of listed mods.

i am 21, 2 traffic infringements and monthly works out to be around $120.

thats abit dodge about AAMI, because i tried for a better deal through them, and they wouldn't insure me because i have too many modifcations

i think the popularioty of Honda's may be a factor now too, i'd need to have a chat with our underwriting people to understand... a Honda car culture is growing... with that, thefts accidents and claims will increase... i dare say the governments P plate restrictions would be driving this too...

But yeh at the end of the day its a "sports" car and you are young dude... You didnt clarify your accidents history...

Didnt GIO put you through to Custom Car Insurance?
