05 HONDA ACCORD VTI - Central Locking problem.

    Hi everyone,

My 05 Honda Accord vti front door central locking is not working. first the driver side door and after a while the front passenger side aswell now.(not unlock by itself after pressing the remote control). The remote control is working normally with no promblem unlocking the back doors.

Called Honda and was told i will looking at around $600 to $700 to repair.

Does anyone think Honda dealer charge too much for it?

Any good suggestions will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks

It's probably the actuators, it's like $60 each (1per door) on ebay, then it's 1/2 hour of labour per door.

    It's a common problem.

Ive got this problem too. Honda also quoted me $700 to fix.

Is it worth going to an auto elec? or can anyone direct me to a thread that covers this problem and has a fix?

    Thanks

What's actually wrong? If it's just the actuators then just get the actuators off eBay and get any auto electricians to install into the doors for you, they should charge no more than 1/2 hour labour per door.

I actually have the same problem, all my doors open up except my passenger one. Honda told me the same thing, around 600 to fix.... so if anyone knows where I can get this fixed cheap feel free to say! haha
