    dc2r with audm dc5r rims

Hey guys I stumbled across this thread and want to clear something up:

    http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45741&

It has been suggested that to get audm dc5r rims on a dc2r I would need spacers....

Can someone clarify this as I am about to get my wheels and tyres fitted....

    Thanks

    JDM DC5R wheels are 17" +60 offset

    AUDM DC5R wheels are 16" +45 offset

AUDM ones will fit perfectly on your car

so I finally got my audm dc5r wheels fitted, during the fitment, the guy from the workshop said that the rims were scraping the caliper and so he added spacers.....

I dont get it, especially after so many people said I didnt need them.....

i need some help here guys.....

Basically before I put my AUDM DC5R wheels on my DC2R, it was suggested by some members that they would fit perfectly..... Now that I have them on, Ive had to put 3mm spacers on the front to clear the caliper...... I really dont like the idea of spacers, apparently they are unroadworthy.....

I like the look of the wheels on, should I grind back the caliper slightly???? Or try to source some DC2R wheels (seem hard to get)????

I just remember DC2R calipers are larger than AUDM DC5R lol lol

    my apologies haha

Spacers of you size should be fine for the street, even on track.

Just make sure you check your nuts are tight often.

Yeah I had them on the cruise, but since then Ive been told that spacers are illegal and I assume unroadworthy..... Ive also heard of the dangers of running them and the stress they put on your wheel nuts....

Anyway I want to keep the rims, but get rid of spacers and the only way to do that is slightly grind the caliper, but I wanted to see if anyone out there has done that themselves and how they went.... Do you think I should grind??

I probably wouldnt have got them if I knew I needed spacers, but some members on here said that I didnt need them.....
