hey guys new to this forum...own a mazda 323 astina 97 at the moment..lokking for some vtec umph haha...just wondering which is better the prelude 98' vtir or intera vtir??

the prelude is more luxurious
and for the integra, are you talkin abt a 1998 one cause they cost so much you might as well get an integra type R

also depends which integra youre referring to, but i'm assuming the dc2r.

dc2r offers quite a lot more performance than the prelude, but is also more demanding to drive.

on the other hand prelude is more comfortable, and easier to live with day to day. you wont go deaf on the highway and dont need to tolerate the hard suspension.

when it comes down to it, prelude for the luxury and day to day element, but type r for the performance.

also not to say that you wont be able to live with the type r day to day - it just depends what kind of person you are, or how much enjoyment you derive out of the car. some people i knew sold type r's to buy preludes, so there you go...

that's the general gist of it, but you should take two for a test drive to see what suits you better.

Performance = DC2R
Cruising = Prelude VTIR
Can only drive auto = none of the above. The Prelude autos do have a few problems, and the DC2R doesn't come in anything but a manual.

exactly why the VTi-R existed, the Type R is too loud and Prelude too cruisy.

i owned a 96 astina v6 before i got the dc2r, the astina had sway bars, jic coilovers, bigger brakes and the dc2r in stock form absolutly smashes the astina.

i find my dc2r fine driving to and from the gold coast with zeal coilovers every day for work but a stock dc2r is quite a bit stiffer than an astina, in stock form the dc2r is a great car allround even with fuel economy, i can get over 550km from a tank

wow really...mines just a 1.8 L n i can only get about 480 kms out of fuel tank...i heard that hondas were green....didnt know they were that green ..

Astina 323's ROCK! My g/f has one. I love them!!!

As for Prelude vs Integra. IMHO 2 different car for 2 totally different target markets!

Personally i'd get a DC2, as I have a DC2R, and I love Integra's, but any Honda would do it for me.

hey guys looking at the integra 94' v-tir or the prelude 97' v-tir

integra - 127 kw..looks better...cost 9000

prelude - 143 kw..looks not so bad...cost 12 000

seems like u already made up ur mind "looks better",
what exactly are you after? looks, performance, comfort?
if i were u id go with the integra, i reckon its a better car all round plus holds its value better then the lude.
