Differences in B18c and B16a diff?

Im looking at putting an lsd and 4.9 final drive in my B16a with hydro box, and i can get the final drive at a good price but its apparently only for the B18c type R???

What are the differences between the B16a, B18c and B18c type R diffs and gearboxes?
Will a B18c type R lsd fit into the B16a hydro box?

    Thanks in advance

1st counter gear bearing is different.
To use the 4.9 final drive intended for the DC2R (98) in EK4/9 box.
You will also need the following OEM Honda parts:
    1 x 23914-P80-E30 - Distance collar
    1 x 91107-P80-E31 - Needle bearing
    1 x 23421-P80-E30 - 1st counter gear

Then you can use the ITR LSD & final drive in the B16A box

    Thanks heaps for that info,
roughly how much would I be looking at for each of those parts either genuine or after market??? I do have a friendly Honda parts guy nearby so am not afraid to go genuine if needs be.

    Thanks again

wouldn't it be easier to source a ITR box and put the FD in that? It also gives you LSD at the same time

We are actually doing two of these at the same time, they are to go into a couple of EG rally cars. Both time and money are limited so trying to source two ITR boxes is not likely to be as efficient plus going new over used is also pretty important.

    PM sent,

The M-Factory final drive for the B16A box doesn't need any other parts.
    It's a direct fit.
