    2nd gear crunch...

hey guys who here experiences the same?? everytime i go to give it a big hit and slamm it from 1st to 2nd it always crunches up top end..

so guys who do have this problem what have you done to eliminate or reduce this crunchin?? i though at 1st it was users fault but iver tried everything.. its always done this since ive had the car..

the clutch is new and adjust properly.. its even been set at all different levels to see if it crunchs..

so ive narrowed it down to maybe synchros gone... but hey if any of you guys have stopped this from happening.. please post up... because this shit is annoying the crap out of me..

try redline shock proof first and if it doesnt improve its your syncros. 1-2nd gear is nice and cheap at $400ish for the part(not).

Ive red lined and flat changed from 1st to 2nd no probs, also when redlining and changing gears i make sure it actully goes into gear before releasing the clutch, you can feel it go it, at low rpms i find it harder to get into gear

Its a common problem with the earlier AP1s to crunch 2nd. Not much can be done, check the TSB on S2ki.com. This issue is on the list pretty much next to clutch buzz and plastic window cracking.
