4 Lug ITR '96 Spec Brake Swap

would like to know if these would be a DIRECT bolt on to an EG with discs all round? would the front hub fit into the existing drive shaft? i have a D series engine, so im not totally sure if this is possible. would i need other things for this swap apart from: hubs, rotors, calipers, trailing arm?

    Hey,

Assuming you only want to swap rotors and calipers, read on. If it's a whole sussy swap, then ignore.

    96 ITR was 4x114mm PCD.

    Civic's have 4x100mm PCD.

The reason the 96 ITR rotors are recommended is that you can re-drill them to 4x100mm without overlapping existing bolt holes.

    This preserves the rotor balance.

    > calipers, trailing arm

original calipers won't fit, upgrade to ITR calipers and pads.

Same applies when upgrading rear rotors, need new calipers.

Rear upgrades can get fiddly with brakes hoses and hand brake cables.

    Everything is here:

    Nick.

PS. 9CLP14S rear calipers are also found on Prelude's. Hint! Hint!. The caliper bracket however is slightly different and currently researching other differences.

PPS. Mini2 rear rotors are 4x100, 64mm ID hub bore and 44mm rotor height. Civic is 61mm ID hub bore and 48mm rotor height from memory. Might be able to get away with just a hub 61mm ID 64mm OD hub-ring. Will post more when more info is available.

PPPS. no need to swap hubs, uprights and trailing arms unless you want five lug setup.

Will bolt up. Just re-use the stock hand brake cable. Shafts will slide in.

    Wheel alignment is needed.
Any time when you change tyres on your wheels it needs to be balanced.
