Ive got a 8th Gen MY07 Civic VTi, does anyone know and give me ideas on what i should mod into my car to get it a little bit faster? Does the AFC- neo not work on this engine? [coz read from other posts, vtec controllers dont work, so does that also mean the AFC Neo?]

Short answer: Intake or Turbo the R18 engine.
Long answer: Read up on how the ivtec in the R18 engine works; then it'll explain why standard vtec gear won't work.

EVEN IF vtec controller "worked" for the R18a engine... it wouldn't improve the engine. If you want the FD to go faster pull out your back seats and the door and roof trimmings for a start. Or turbo it.

    Have fun!

    1. Comes with iridiums stock? Mine does. New car's grounding and spark cables are good, don't need aftermarket
    2. AFM will go bonkers and throw CEL.
    3. Small gain.
    4. Sound only
    5. Can it handle VTEC at any RPM?
    6. Good.
    7. Either #6 (turbo) or EVO X. Maybe even Ralliart Lancer.

yap, but "normal" iridiums. changed to HKS S35 IL/VOLKER 6ZX-11/NGK IRIDIUM MAX/Brisk Premium DOR14LGS -->Indeed the firing is very strong and good
adding Pivot Razin Stabilizer grounding kit -->If u are looking for throttle response, that should help better

    2. AFM will go bonkers and throw CEL.
    3. Small gain --> small here + small there = medium
    4. Sound only --> not if u goes mugen twin loop
    5. Can it handle VTEC at any RPM? --> after 2k
    6. Good.
    7. Either #6 (turbo) or EVO X. Maybe even Ralliart Lancer.
