    Sup guys

i'm gettin clicks from the engine.
when i'm hitting vtec at 3rd gear, i then change to 4th gear & rpm is around 5500 the engine then makes clicking noises.
    any advice would be appreciated.
    cheers!

Does the clicking speed increase as the RPM increases? If so, the Valve Tappet clearances may need adjusting.

clicking noise during gear change.....not while driving no build up of RPM's.

could be engine mounts i dont think its a big problem my friend and i both have dc2r's and we both have the same thing happen sometimes. Never really hindered any performance. But then again it only happened once and a while....does yours do it all the time?

with the mounts, i was told it was starting to show little signs on the front mount. so would that contribute to the clicks on 3rd gear from 5500rpms?
as the rpm increases from 5500 the clicks fade into the sound of vtec.
so it could be the buildup of revs? i'm not sure. but at 5500rpm on 3rd gear i thought that should be enough revs & not get any clicks.
i tested it again today & got the same results.
i'll go get my tappets checked & ES mounts inserted & report.
    cheers guys!
