People bringing up dead posts in forsale

Can the database be cleared or make it possible to lock old threads in the forsale forum. Every day a couple of month old thread is brought up by some idiot.

the sellers should either lock the thred or edit it to signify the item has been sold.

I usually go through and prune old threads.....i might set it to prune them after they are 3-4 weeks old automatically!

maybe have an option for the seller to lock his own thread in the for sale section??? is that even possible? assuming the seller does not have mod/admin status.... ?
