    auto d16y4 to b16a1

    Gday guys im new to this forum. I have a question ive bought the missus a cxi 1997 ek auto civic with d16y4 in it. if i wanted to put in a b16 motor in it would the auto in it now bolt up to the new motor. Is this possible and is it a difficult job

    no will not bolt up.
    and a b16a1 motor is from the older import crx's and integras, with a cable clutch.

    i had to buy an auto because the missus has had back surgery and cant be pushing clutch in and out all the time. But the d16y4 is on the sluggish side of things what can you guys suggest

    pretty sure the auto mounts are different to the manual engine mounts
    just changing D serise auto to B serise auto i have to cut and weld a new mount

    yeh danny is right different mounts i wanted 2 know same question if u could bolt the auto 2 b16a but no can do lol but any wayz good luck on finding an auto for the b16a1
