    updating this thread as well.

a cheaper alternative to the Ryco RCA-108P cabin dust & pollen filter for the FD civic is the Wesfil WACF5302. i bought mine from www.eziautoparts.com.au. i don't think they have in their website yet but if you order it from them, it's defeinitely in stock. they also told me that they don't have ready stock of the Ryco RCA108P at the moment but can be ordered and wait for 2-3 days before they can post it to you.

comparison of price that i found:
    repco: Ryco RCA-108P = $50 (3 days wait)
    eziautoparts: Ryco RCA-108P = $32.25 + postage (3 days wait + auspost delivery time)
eziautoparts: Wesfil WACF5302 = $23.95 + postage (auspost delivery time)

Did you have to cut those panels out cos they didn't fit snugly?

nope. it's just that i read it in the DIY thread that shimian did a while back that these 9 panels have to be taken out as their purpose "is to provide back pressure if the filter was not fitted.".

and yes, the Wesfil filter fits into the tray snugly even if the 9 panels are not cut-out.

SOrry to dig up an old thread
    In regards to the FD2

I'm wondering if it's worth buying a washable cabin filter against the generic RYCO ones?
can't seem to find any re-useable ones within $50 (was hoping to score a K&N) ??

and definitely use this guide to put in: http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...ilter-Civic-FD (< self reminder so i can find it again)
