    DIY Painting Rocket Cover: D-series

Disclaimer: The following are provided as a GUIDE ONLY, and neither myself. nor the original writer, nor Ozhonda take any responsibility for the outcomes of someone else doing the following. You follow these steps at your own risk!

Aim: Renew look of old or plain looking Valve Cover

    Needed:
    1 can Primer
1 can VHT Wrinkle Plus Spray Paint
    1 800 sand paper
    1 400 sand paper
    masking tape
    Razor
    Pilers
    10mm spaner
    Blow Dryer

    Step 1: Removing Valve Cover
Remove all the Blue circled area

    Step 2: Sand down metal
Use the 400 sand paper first then 800 sand paper

    Step 3: Seal Holes
Use masking tape and cover all holes

i covered the honda sign and letters but u can leave it and sand the paint of later. Up to you

    Step 4: Spray Primer
    Spray a few times
Wait few minutes after each layer
Try not to over spray it maybe run.

and let it dry for a bit before spraying wrinkle plus

Step 5: Spray VHT Wrinkle Plus
    Spray a few times
First vertical then horizontal then diagonal

Step 6: Waiting for paint to dry
You can leave the paint to dry by it self
or use a blow dryer to increase the speed

    Step 7: Reinstalling Valve cover
once done u can install the rocket cover back on the engine
just remove all the masking tape and bolt everything back on

If you did put masking tape on the sign and letter you should remove it later.
If you didnt use masking tape you can file it down later.

    Then Your done.

    Hope DIY help ppl.
    Thanks

lol, not actually a rocker cover.
it's just a term that people have used for years.
rockers used to be at the top of the head when the cams used to be lower, and the rockers rockers at the top. hence the name rocker cover
but times have changed now the cam is at the top with the valves.
    lol.

i know by people it means shit all, but just thought people would like to know
    lol.
