3rd gen gearbox

Hi can anyone tell me if the auto gearboxes r any good in a 3rd gen prelude

There OK,
there was 2 differnet types of trannys, very similar, 89-90 had the shit solenoids inside the tranny and 91-92 had external shift soldenoids.
if negleted thay can cost you a heap to fix.

There is no 92 Gen 3 Prelude.
I'm sure its 1990-1991 is good and 1988-1989 is not so flash!

shafts inside both boxes are the same, same clutch packs and gearing, the valve bodys are different, to accomidate external shift soldenoids
