    Installed one pretty similar, had a base plate which replaced the oem one.
    It's pretty simple just bolt out then in.

    but anyway, yes, it did reduce the throws quite alot.
    nothing like an s2000 shift, but shorter than stock.

    my two cents, with the stock gear knob, it does sit a bit low. and leverage becomes a little difficult. But was easily resolved with an aftermarket gearknob of the taller variety.

    used do have a B&M short shifter kit for my evo VII
    it was great, reduced throw by around 40% and wasn't that expensive either..

    all i can say is B&M are a well known and highly regarded for their short shifters. so you dont have to worry about quality :P

    not recommending it.. im just saying its a good shifter.
    compared to skunk2 and buddy club? no idea. never used them :P
