    overheating issues

    hi guys

my civic eg has been giving me problems recently
it seems to overheat alot when i drive it
ive been told my many of my friends to fix the following
    *fan switch
    *fan
    *thermostat
    *radiator
    *radiator cap
    *water pump
i have fixed all these problems but it still keeps over heating pushing all the water out of the radiator and into the white bottle
    what can be the problem?
its really annoying cos i have to put coolant in the radiator in the morning every day
*also even when the car is running the hose connecting to the thermo is still cool while the one to the radiator is real hot

is it pushing all the water into the bottle and not sucking it back??

are any hoses collapsing during its cooling down stages???

the hoses arent collapsing and some times it pushes the coolant back into the radiator but i loose alot of the water because it splashes out all over the engine bay

Chances are you've likely got a blockage in your system somewhere. I can't say where but let a mech. have at it. You could also try a coolant flush to see if that will help. Alternatively, your radiator might be clogged as well. Tried a different radiator?

    I has the exact problem..

Tried everything you've listed and nothing worked.

Was a blown head gasket but only very small but pushing air into the cooling system just enough to stop the coolant sucking back into the radiator.

Happened after my thermostat died some year before the problems started

But if the radiators not hot maybe your water pump is playing.

You can bypass the thermostat and bridge the fan wires so the fan stays on...

See if that helps but sounds like the HG if you've tried the rest..

Get a leak down test done and see if any cylinders are lower as mine were

since its blowing coolant out , there is a compression leak doing this - which usually means the headgasket is gone.
    Be prepared to pay $$$$

might work out cheaper to find a spare d15 engine at a wrecker or someone here - chuck it in for about $4-500 all up.
A Headgasket will cost abit in labour
