    its ure tappets dude -.-"

    read previous comments.
hondas usually get tappet recheck at 40k's

    you have 35000.
    and a ticking noise.

it kinda screams. hey my tappets need adjusting. since you fit in the kilometre mark and complaint description.

go to a "good mechanic place" as some have said or go to a dealer.

dont diy if you dont know whats involved in taking a rocker cover off.
head gaskets are for the cylinder head.
    thats where the cams sit.
and on that .. are the rockers.
the rocker cover.. covers all that.

fork out a few dollars on getting it fixed.
rather than trying to do it yourself and spending money on broken parts.

an engine wont be quiet quiet.
    only quiet engine is hybrid.
a normal engine has fans, alternators, and a/c rotating ..
but thats out of the topic.
    in engine wise.
you have the injectors, sparks, combustion, exhaust resonance, induction, and probably a bit more.
but youll never get a silent engine.
and a "tick" isnt always from one thing.

and if you want it fixed. start with the most common/basic. in this case .. tappets.

    =] have fun.

Do you think this engine in this video needs to have the valve clearance checked? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4K3dky-zs1Y

Something else. Because in that vid is my car. I brought it to the dealer for a valve adjustment, they took it apart and found that everything was still good. The valve clearance was still within spec and there was nothing to adjust! It was the injectors making that tapping sound. When your valve clearance needs adjusting, the engine will sound like a diesel. It doesn't "tap".
