    FYI: EK Jacking Points

    Hi,

since im about to paint wheels, change engine oil and other DIY kool stuff to save me money. I had to consult multiple MSN people just to find this...which was so clearly outlined in the user manual ...
so I'll post a message to remind people where to find these jacking points.

and here is what it looks like in real life. Ignore the scratch marks.

thanks, (please give me PQ points too lol)

the front one yes. And there is 4 side jack points....no rear point tho. Most people use the toe-hook as a jackpoint but this can be quite unsafe.

So the steps to jack up whole car for those maintenance items would be jack up the front through the diagram then put 2 jackstands on the sides and then jack up the rear via the hook then put another 2 jackstands eh? thanks.

Agreed. Do not use the tow hook at the rear to jack the car up. They are not made for that kind of lateral load.
See a good post? Give it a PQ point.

It's fine if you are jacking it up to put jackstands under the car.

I dont know. Have seen photos of tow hooks distorting/bending from jacking straight up. My preference is still to use the sides or front. Also, you dont have a lot of surface space for the jack to sit on which i dont like.

How do you jack it up on the side if you are trying to put jackstands under that same side jack point? Jacking on the chassis is not the answer...
