DIY - Painting Mag Wheels Quick & Easy!

Disclaimer: The following is provided as a GUIDE ONLY, and neither myself nor Ozhonda take any responsibility for the outcomes of someone else doing the following. You follow these steps at your own risk!

Hi guys, this is my first DIY thread, hope it's useful to you!

Items required: Degreaser, Primer, Spray paint of your colour choice, masking tape, brush and a deck of playing cards!
(Tip: Primer and spray paint should be of the same brand and brand new playing cards!)

    Initial Product

Step 1: Spray degreaser onto wheel

Step 2: Scrub wheel with brush to remove dirt and grime; hose clean

Step 3: Wipe excess water off wheel and allow to dry

Step 4: Insert playing cards upright into gap between wheel and tyre
(Tip: Make sure playing cards overlap each other and that no gaps are present!)

This is what it should look like after you have gone round the entire wheel

Step 5: Tape up valve with masking tape and remove centre cap if you do not want it painted

Step 6: Apply primer onto wheel (Follow instructions on can)

    Allow to dry

Step 7: Apply desired colour onto wheel (Follow instructions on can)
(Tip: Work from edge of wheel to the centre!)

    Allow to dry

Step 8: Remove playing cards and masking tape from wheel and valve

    Finished Product

Try this yourself, it's really quick and simple. No more time wasted to tape up wheels with newspapers!

Like all self painted wheels, if you scratch it hard enough it does come off. You can apply a few layers of clear coat for extra protection!
