Hi guys, this is my first DIY thread, hope it's useful to you!
Items required: Degreaser, Primer, Spray paint of your colour choice, masking tape, brush and a deck of playing cards!
(Tip: Primer and spray paint should be of the same brand and brand new playing cards!)
Initial Product
Step 1: Spray degreaser onto wheel
Step 2: Scrub wheel with brush to remove dirt and grime; hose clean
Step 3: Wipe excess water off wheel and allow to dry
Step 4: Insert playing cards upright into gap between wheel and tyre
(Tip: Make sure playing cards overlap each other and that no gaps are present!)
This is what it should look like after you have gone round the entire wheel
Step 5: Tape up valve with masking tape and remove centre cap if you do not want it painted
Step 6: Apply primer onto wheel (Follow instructions on can)
Allow to dry
Step 7: Apply desired colour onto wheel (Follow instructions on can)
(Tip: Work from edge of wheel to the centre!)
Allow to dry
Step 8: Remove playing cards and masking tape from wheel and valve
Finished Product
Try this yourself, it's really quick and simple. No more time wasted to tape up wheels with newspapers!
