I was just wondering if anyone has bought second hand rims before.
Other than scrapes or scratches, is there anything else to look out for when purchasing them?

Has anyone had any problems with the 2nd hand rims that they bought?

Make sure they aren't bent / have flat spots!

yeah, and arent structually defective...... oh yeah make sure theyre not chrome as well... :P

well shrimp, if they come with tires... then make sure the tires don't leak air.

oh and make sure they have 'thread' on them too... yes yes, don't wnat bald tires now do we!

You can get lucky - my VTiR hatch rims I picked up second hand are scratched to buggary but work just fine whereas I have a set of white DP minilite style wheels that look sweet but need to be refurbished to get rid of the need for 50000 counterweights :P
