    Resetting ECU

    hey, just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with ressetting ECU in civic. thinking of doin it to mine... but not sure if worth the risk. hows it done properly? does it make much diff?

    I will assume this is on the EK? I think you just need to remove the fuse. Look it up on the owner's manual, it's in the fuse section.

    What is the risk though?

    Resetting your ECU will make no difference, unless of course you have just made some breathing mods to your car.

    just un-plug the ECU fuse in ur engine bay for 15-30mins,then put it back, should do the job~~

    after u have xhaust mods or CAI installed,it will have a bit gain for reseting the ECU

    anyway,try the search function ,had been discuss many times ago

    15 to 30 min is a bit excessive, 30sec to 1 min is more like it.

    is the fuse the one thats marked backup ? I canna find it other wise :S
    I wish my lawn was EMO so it would cut itself.....

    if you cant find the right fues, disconnect the battery for 30 sec or so.
