AD07, great yokohama tyre. Not the best road tyre in the wet, but still driveable.
    BONUS ROUND
There is still room on the bandwagon for you.

without pointing the finger at anybody, there are always people that will be biast in what they sell. whether they want to get rid of excess stock or just want to make quick $$$. Best advice anybody can give is trial and error, nobody said track racing was going to be cheap. so just keep that in mind...

i called up a few places the other day, and im a bit of a toyo fan... T1R @ $195 a piece (205x50x15) and proxes 4 only $160 a piece. I hav proxes on atm n am very happy but want 2 trial T1R or maybe Adrenalin, but hav no idea of its price yet.

Cheers 4 all the comments, ive pretty much got all the info i need, shall make some phonecalls n a lil more research but at this stage it looks like i may go the Toyo T1R. Not 2 prices but have heard great feedback.
    Getting there...

Use your proxes now, and after the trackday, switch to T1R. Then after that, go for another trackday to find out how the T1R goes compared to the Proxes. Expensive, but hey, you have to pay to play.

if you want yoko go for AD07~ there about 180 to 200 bucks a wheel~but yer really good for dry tracking and street~as bob said~gets interesting in the rains.

also the semi slick yoko AO 50 is awesome on the track~but yer probably you wont be going for ss if your not going for the little seconds.

i heard bridgestone Reo1R is good , never used it~ i got re01 regular street tire on the accord euro~they are pretty good.

If I had a budget of $195 a piece, I wouldn't be wasting my money on Toyo T1R. BTW thats way over price for what you are getting. For this kind of budget, I'll be looking at Yokohama Advan AD07 or Falken RT615 or Federal 595RS. All these tyres will outperform the Toyo T1R, except maybe on a very wet race track.

Go 195/50/15 or 195/55/15, if you have to. Because a 195 width Advan AD07 will still be better than a Toyo T1R in 205 width.

And btw, I'm a huge Toyo fan as well. I've raced competitively with Toyo R888, Toyo RA1 and other semi slicks. And the Toyo RA1 are the most fun to drive on but not the most grip.

AD07 arent that bad in the wet, you can drive safely, but in saying that i wouldnt go hitting roundabouts at 80 in the rain with them on. QDC2R is selling them very cheap.
