Petrol companies probably done the dodgey!

    Hello,

I filled up at the pumps at mobil on hume hwy lansvale now so long ago. After filling up the car, the car's idling was out of place. Its idling under 1000rpm at stand still, and when i hit the gas it theres a lag from 0-2000rpm. So i suspect dodgy fuel from the oil company. Either contaminated fuel or water addictives in the fuel. I need to get the fuel out to check it so i can flame Mobil

    Anyone ever experience this issue?

Now does anyone have any ideas on how to take fuel out from the tank of a eg hatch?

I tried using a tube and thread it into the tank. That doesnt work. I ve done some research and havent found what i was looking for.

Help me out if you know something please.

    Regards Ken.

How about going back to the same petrol station, same pump and fill it up in a container.

Good idea, but i also want to take the fuel out and refill it with something else to be sure that its the fuel thats the problem.

I filled up almost a full tank so i wont risk running a full tank of contaminated fuel.

get the workshop manual for your car from internets and see if there is a bolt you can undo.

you guys are funny, there is a bolt at the bottom of the fuel tank, i think a 14mm or 17mm, get the car fairly level, undo and most the fuel should drain out.

Theres no bolt from under the tank.

the only way im gonna probably flush it is with syphon method from where the fuel pump is inside the cabin or prime it at the fuel line prior to the fuel filter without cranking the engine. ***ken sucks Mobil

    Thanks for the help guys
