PRICE WATCH. Best deals on the new 2008 Jazz.

    hi

now that the new Jazz has appeared at dealerships around the country (well they are here in Melbourne at least :-) ), I thought it could be good to start getting an idea of what deals people are getting.

So please write in with your hard negotiated bargains.

I was offered a GLI SP manual in white with mats for 18,800 today, although I am reasonably sure that I could have got it down to 18400-18500.

I will buy one of these during the next 10 days, so I will post back with my final price

    Jo

LOLZ.... well yesterday got a quote for

    man VTIS
    -mats
-rear wing (yes... its an option even on the VTIS now... rort!)
    -foglights

Onroad $26k+ ROFL! While this price was before negotiating and I managed to get a sub man VTIS RRP for the above.... I am having doubts about the price of the jazz when it does not have VSA/climate control.

    which dealer, SPEEDCORE?

Not sure if we are allowed to be saying dealers names and prices etc atm.... but it is somewhere on the Southside of Brisbane.

BTW.... that deal was only if I put down cash then and there.
But yeah.... when I saw it go to $26k + I said to my partner to organise a drive in a Civic Sport and see if she likes that.

With reports of people getting FD2s for $30k on the road..... it might very well be worth spending the little extra..... even if there is a looming facelift.

is the jazz known as the FIt in japan ? if so spoon has started producing parts for it.

26 k is tad expensive for what it is, as speedcore said to his wife~i would have a go with civic sport first aswell. never know

hmm...but you will get those unknowing people paying that sort of money for one.

I'd be happy to pay $25k drive away for that model + equipment.

whoa, $26k+ tell him he's dreamin'! I think hes trying to capitalise on the fact that anyone coming into the dealers now, before theres been any ad campaign or whatever is a jazz fan and they really want one. Im sure if you give it a month or so that price may go down a couple of k's, esp since Sept is end of the quarter, you might be able to have a bit more leverage.

Do you know what other options they have?

    hi

i do not mean to be rude, or unfriendly, and all these comments are helpful,
but I had hoped this thread would be a series of posts where people describe what they bought and for what price in what city.

Such a thread can be a great help for others trying to get a good bargain, and gives a good guide to what can be negotiated with a bit of luck and effort.

Perhaps we can try and keep this thread nice and tight like that, and discussion/opinions about the prices can be started elsewhere?

what do the rest of you think?

getting quotes for various models of Jazz is probably the best you're going to get so that you can make up your own mind how much you think is reasonable to pay for your new Jazz.

We're probably going to get only a handful of people who are willing to name exactly what they bought and for how much, because they don't want to feel they have been ripped off. Those people who will freely tell how much they got their new Jazz for are those that got it for a "steal"...so it's not really a fair indication or bargaining tool for everyone.

I know for sure that I wouldn't want to tell everyone how much I bought a new Jazz for if by chance it's $5k more than what someone else got it for for the same model. But certainly I'm not telling people not to. It's up to the individual if they want to reveal that sort of info.
