hey mate just curious as to why your going down to a smaller bike
i know alow of people who say 1000's are just to powerfull for suburban/city riding and are always on the clutch cause the things revving like crazy. a 600 is still a shitload of power between ur balls anyway
yeh the reason is my R1 was 2002 model which worth as much as a newer R6.
i personally prefer the newer look.
also R6 is really powerful enought for street use or daily ride. and lighter and handles really good
we measured up the 08 cbr600 against my cbr25rr and they are basically the same size!! the cbr is a tad longer tho, but i think due to its power to weight ratio thats where it wins
The CBR outclasses the r6 by a mile.. and next year a new model with a slipper clutch will appear.. i feel sorry for the opposition
Right on the money, alot of R6 sheep, read some reviews and see what experienced people say,CBR is a better bike all round. The R6 has an irratic power and torque delivery in places, and i find is twitchy at high speeds, but that is prob due to my weight 90kg.
By the way anyone who is over 6ft will not really feel comfortable on 600's or even 1000's,hate to say it but road bikes are made for the shorter people the majority being 5ft8.
Anyway it comes down to personal preference, what do you like about each bike and what do you want from a bike. There is more to a bike than aesthetics and power, fore example a thing called total systematic mechanical interaction, basically how does the bike act as one in a sense and do all parts combine to the experience or fight each other to dumb it down, and specs will not tell you this.Riding a new bike will also not tell you this,it's something that you find after the break in period.
