    Skunk2 Lowering Springs

Does anyone have these on their car (specifically dc integra)?

I am seriously considering getting these however they don't seem as popular as other brands within our ozhonda community.

So if you do have them, what do you think of them? i.e. spring rate/stiffness

Specifically, I will most likely be riding them on stock shocks @ 120,000kms, on 17" wheels with low profile tyres.

haha yeah it seems the Americans love skunk2's. Just thought it was weird that in stark contrast, not many oz guys have them.

Yep, contacted Adam - awaiting reply

Just hope the drop isn't 2.25-2.5" as was quoted a while ago (too low for driveway).
From reading the U.S forums many have experienced a 1.5-1.75" drop which would be ideal.

Bit of gamble here... otherwise Kings/Peddars. Spoons are out of my price range atm @ $499.

On that note, how much will I be looking at for springs installation? $40 per wheel?

Cheers for the replies hisoka ~ so what did you end up getting?

man 499 for spoons~go to jdmconcept and ask for 399 ish~it was on special before.
i was hoping for 2.5 inch drop and according to the yanksters they got 1.7 ish. so i didnt bother.

but stay away from springs like king. as i see you a performance minded~springs i had on skyline r34 before lol~got funny after 3 ~4 months. its really soft after that months.

i had installed them myself so i dont know price for install bro~probably go to local small wheel and tire shop instead of autobarn. get good price.

i am ordering up some JIC coilovers for my eg~as i dont think springs will cut it anymore lol. i recomend spoons ~they are very decent but yer i know can be priced high

great insight! I guess skunk2s are much better in comparison to kings.

So from the sounds of it, the skunk2s will give a 1.7ish drop which would be fantastic!
Will also look into spoon progressives as they probably suit my setup better.

so in melbourne what do you track work ?? or you go up the mountains or something. stick with Skunk2 or spoon~if you cant get spoon, skunk2 is just as good~just saying spoon as it only gives a minimal drop compared to skunk2. spoon gives a 1 inch drop exactly lol.

so yer dont worry if u can get spoons, skunk2 does the job and looks better on the car.

spoons are called spoon progressive when you look them up. 5/3.9 spring rate lol

im sitting on skunk2 springs / stock shocks on an EG

claims to be 2.2" Fr and 2.0" Rr

a 2.0" drop is likely to be a finger gap, but with the front sitting abit higher the 2.2" will alow the whole car sitting on one finger. (at first it was around 1.3/1.5 finger gap and slowly sagged and now has settled 1 gap all round)

kings superlows ive been told has 2.0" dropp all round.

personally i just followed the usdm trend and went with skunk2 over the kings. $50 more but worth it.

ill take a pic of my EG if you want to see how low it sits on 14" steelies.

EDIT: the skunk2 springs i have are also interchangable with DC series so i would assume it would have a similar drop.

i've used the skunk2 springs w/ oem dc2r shocks. springs rates were only slightly firmer than the standard ones

from what i was told the drop is 2.5" at the front and 2.25" at the rears. (for a dc)

the height's perfect imo. ill try and dig up a photo

can't go wrong for the price
