Mouldings

Hi guys... umm I'm trying to get my car colour coded but I'm finding it hard to take off the mouldings around my car...I have taken most of them off but still stuck on one in particular... I drive a honda civic ek4.

Heres the picture of what i mean



If anyone knows how please let me know.

Another quick question... umm when removing the mouldings on the door I took out the door trim and it was fine on one side... but on the other door... the screw under the door handle got blunt to the point of no return.. any ideas on how to take the screw out? or methods?

You could drill the screw out and re tap the hole.

drill out the screw with a simiar sized drill bit - it will pop right out.

As fr the side moulds , you need small hands and needle-nosed plies to get that last end of the clip off. Can i suggest to tkae the end off FIRST as the rest is easy to access.

You take out the rear plastics panels (front the inside, rear seat area). and then pop out the mouldings.
that's the only way i know how to do it.

umm so if i go from the inside.. i gotta take out the back seats to take off the back trim ay? but i would still need long pliers to reach the clips?

yeh. not sure if it's necessary to take out back seats. but take out the side trim.
the clips shouldnt be hard to reach.

taking out back seat would make it easier to take out hte side trim though

as pikpic said take out the interior trim out and pop it out that way, and yes u will need to remove your rear seats to take the trim off

its alot of work to get to the mouldings in a hatch back, but its worth the effort of taking them out and having them the same colour as the body.

oh wait. that's the EM1 coupe. you got EJ8 coupe. My bad, didnt read your info properly.
