It sounds like you idling needs adjustment or at the very least hook the car up to a diagnostic tool at a mechanics to sort out any glitches, mine got done around 160,000km. How many ks are on your car to help others pass on advice?

check the air intake filter, might be clogged up with alot of dirt. if its cleaned and is still at idling low, take it to a mechanic.

as EK1.6LCIV said, get it hooked up to a diagnotstic machine and it should tell you whats wrong.

better to spend a bit of money on it now than let it go as it could get worse.

Sounds like a sensor or idle speed motor problem, diag machine would be the quickest way of knowing that answer, best best is to go and check the condition of basic things 1st such as plugs, air filter condition and or obstructions, vacuum leaks canceling them out and then if you still have probs pay the money to have it checked.

Did it happen all of a sudden or has it become worse over time?

Is it what are you looking for http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...ght=IAC%2A

Note: IACV of EK is under throttle body ( not on the side as EG)

yeah idle will drop and possibly stall if the IACV sensor plug is disconnected. If its a sudden onset problem then i guess check that its still connected. If its been coming slowly for a while, then worth giving it a clean.

guys the idle should never need adjustment , its set from factory.
this issue could be linked to MAP or ICAV sensors.

More info needed from the OP

Have you recently disconnected your battery ?
Have you installed a air intake or exhaust recently ?
Does your engine light on teh dash light up at all after ignition ?

..or a vacuum line linking to one of those idle aids could be cracked/split.

there is an idle vacumn screw near the throttle, that you can adjust and it will adjust slightly.

Otherwise it might just be idle on the throttle cable has slacked over time, which you can adjust on the throttle cable
