    Accord Euro

    *********** in Yennora is dodgey!

My Euro has blown the differential so I got a 2nd hand auto from Concord Spares and he put me onto a Honda specialist: ***********. They quoted a good price to replace the transmission and I picked it up yesterday arvo.

Warning to others: DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE GUYS - THEY ARE DODGEY !

Let me explain. On the drive home I immediately noticed problems. When I got home, I recorded 9 problems that weren't existing before the diff blew. They are:
    1. Cruise control switches on but pressing Set/Reset has no effect
    2. Steering wheel at an angle of 30-degrees off centre: wheels still steer straight however
    3. VSA light on
    4. Engine light on
    5. Warning light on (triangle)
    6. Sounds like an exhaust leak pulse under load
    7. Click noise and vibration in transmission selector when press brake pedal
    8. Engine idles unevenly and low RPM (around 500rpm)
    9. When press brake pedal, engine idles lower / more unevenly which causes tremor in car.

I rang *********** (asian name) and asked him when I can bring it in to fix the problems. His response was that these problems are unrelated to his changing the transmission and that I should contact the transmission supplier.

I called NSW Office of Fair Trading and they advised it would be best that I get it looked at by another mechanic or Honda service to substantiate that the transmission replacement service caused these problems. Then fill out a Notice of Dispute problem and mail it with evidence to office of fair trading.

last time i went to hannys they refused to give me a receipt after a quick oil flush and refill. its not like I asked them to stamp my log books - theyre a shop like any other and i paid for a good and services so i expected a receipt. apart from that they do good work.

you know why, it's a way to raught the tax system.

no invoice means they don't get taxed as much as there is no evidence.

what you should have asked for is a written note and signed off by the mechanic.

These sort of after market places have zilch experience when it comes to working on a late modelled honda that needs to be driven on the street. Unfortunitely they get a good name because they are cheap. Cheap and nasty if you ask me. If you want this sort of repair go there. This isnt the first time i have heard of these aftermarket shonk chop shops doing unknown shit to hondas cause there got no ****en idea and give a bad name to the people that do.
Apparently one shop couldnt get a manual euro started for a month after the clutch was replaced.

1.Cruise, VSA and possibly Engine light on are more than likely from a broken steering contact plate located behind the steering wheel caused by steering joint misalignment when crossmember taken out.
    2. Exhaust noise is due to the floor insulator on the steering rack missing/damaged/misaligned
    3. Engine idle low possibly from damaged engine mounting vacuum lines from crossmember removal
Vibration from gear selector misaligned engine mountings.

Do not name names, or the company that is "dodgy".
Censor out all instances if you are to further complain about this company.
