    what amp should i get?

im looking for an amp for my MB Quart 6" splits and 10" pioneer Sub. The splits are 50W(120W max) and the sub is 250W(500W max). my music taste is Dance/Trance/House. looking for something with SQ in mind(will be upgrading the sub at a later stage)

my friend said to take a look at the DLS amps. what do you guys recommend?

It all depends what you wish to spend. DLS are a great sounding amp. You dont have the best of woofers there so a realy expensive amp is probably waisted on the pioneer 10. Any of the amps that are above say sony and pioneer are money will spent in my eyes. That way if you do chose to upgrade you can chose to do your components only. All you need is a 4 chan amp. They all should have high and low pass filters. Try and get some thing with adjustable filters so you can tune it to how you liek it to sound.

There is an amplifier which is designed specifically for your application champ, the Audison SRx3. We install about ten - twenty a month and have had no issues yet.

Check out the specs here. They output 65-75 into the front channels and 250-310 into the sub channel.

    I had a SRx3 hooked up to a JL12WO 4
I listen to the same music as you and the response was great!
    Great amplifier!

mm interesting, Marty, I have boston fs60 splits and a cheap entry model clarion 12" sub, currently powered off vpower alpine amp, so its like 50wrms each channel for splits and 80wrms for the sub, would upgrading to the srx3 be a worthwhile upgrade even tho my components are fairly entry model?

Well when you consider things like damping factors, slew rates, THD levels, S/N ratio and separation of the SR seires Audisons it does pay to upgrade to it even if you're using factory speakers champ.
