Wiring up neons

Just wondering....when wiring up neons........where should the fuse be? As close to the battery terminal as possible?

Also what size fuse?

Should be as close to the positive power supply as possible. Its there to reduce/eliminate a short circut or fire. It depends on what the current draw is of teh neon but a 10-15 amp fuse should be fine. If anything is going to go wrong they should blow anyway.
