CL9 - tightening trunk lid spring

Got a rear wing recently, I'm guessing its a bit heavier than the stock wing.

Q1) If the boot/trunk lid falls too fast and slams by itself, can you adjust it so its stronger?

Q2) Can you adjust the spring so when the trunk is opened, it springs up higher?

No, you need to replace the torsion bars with thicker ones.

Ah so thats what the Torsion bar does.

Had a look in the workshop manual, it looks like you can adjust it:

I wonder how much more tension can you get from adjustment? Which rear wing did you get?

The adjustment probably caters for the weight of the stock wing, lets hope it can cater for heavier ones Wouldn't be much difference though.

Its a Mugen style wing I got for $120 unpainted

    high tension = spoiler

Mugen style wing, you'll need thicker bars. I think this adjustment can only cater for the M3 style lip wing. Even the Honda OEM wing is too heavy.

Moral of the story is that's why it's called a spolier, it spoils the car. Thats just my opinion. I'm a spoiler hater
