worth it !!! ... gs 500s are heavy, but have nice torque range for a LAMS bike. Imo if the crack isnt is just cosmetic then its worth every cent ~!

im still tossing up about it, regardless of the price i just cant see myself riding that bike, ive seen the aftermarket fairings avaiable, but still looks bodgy to me, i dunno i just dont like the look of it, Even though everyone says you will drop it bla bla..
plus it has to go pits to get registered, anyone had experience with that?

Alright...so i have been keeping an eye on bikesales.com and the tradingpost. Seems like 4k-5k would get me a CBR250RR with about 45000-50000kms. Seems like a shitload of kms for a bike? some people are saying stay away from bikes with that many kms, what are your thoughts?
-
i was in the same boat as you fly, ended up getting the old ninja. ridden my friends ausdm cbr250rr (56,000km going strong!) both felt fairly similar. look the same (few minor difference and intake piping) and performance wise i think fairly similiar (89 model is A model, 92 model is the C model facelifted, with 2 more HP at 45. I think its a bit faster than the cbr but who cares). got my ninja for a good price with long rego which is what i was looking. best to look around and just be patient.
as with your above questions, if the bike is well maintained, i think it should be fine. keep in mind some if not most import bikes like the cbr250 with 20,000 odd KM are more like 120,000 lol. my bike just hit 40,000 and its goin strong.
end of the day, no matter which bike you get you goin to love riding it. had mine for 2 weeks now and loving it, saving petrol too while hitting 18,000rpm, bet you cant do that in your Z lol
-
well most imports don't have real kms anyway... so its hard to say... as long as the bike runs good then that's the main thing... u're gonna get rid of it after ur fulls anyway and get a newer model AUDM bigger bike... :-)
-
dont bother, get a cbr125 and toss it to the next learner - all learners are ghey bikes, unrestricted -
