creaking noise

hey guys, my dc2 makes a weird creaking noise when i take off in first gear. mainly just after starting the car. i took it to get checked and the guy said its coming from the gearbox because the mount is broken.

does that sound right? just wana make sure as i know nothing and dont want to get ripped off

to you, does it sound like it coming from the front or the rear of the car?
i dont think ive heard an ..engine creek.. before ^_-

!WAIT! does it sound like a suspension creek?
i remember a time when my suspension was creeking, had a guy take it apart and lube it up a little... but yeh.

its definately coming from the engine bay, it sounds like a scrubbing noise. at first i thought it was the tyres rubbing against the guard but they werent.

i suspect;engine mounts,or torque mounts
